1. Nature of Machinery

The machinery sold by Foamlinx LLC is industrial equipment intended for use by trained professionals only. By purchasing or operating this equipment, you acknowledge that industrial machinery is inherently dangerous and involves risks including, but not limited to, electrical shock, thermal burns, respiratory irritation from fumes, and mechanical injury from moving parts.

2. Thermal and Fire Hazards (Hot Wire Cutters)

  • High Temperature: Hot wire foam cutters utilize wires heated to high temperatures. Contact with the wire will cause severe burns.

  • Fire Risk: Never leave a machine unattended while the wire is heated. Foam materials (EPS, XPS, etc.) are flammable. Ensure a fire extinguisher (Class ABC) is mounted within 10 feet of the workspace.

  • Fume Ventilation: Cutting foam releases vapors. Always operate machinery in a well-ventilated area or utilize an active fume extraction system to prevent respiratory distress.

3. Mechanical and Electrical Safety

  • Moving Parts: Keep hands, hair, clothing, and jewelry away from moving rails, motors, and gantry systems. Never reach into the machine’s work envelope while it is powered on.

  • Safety Guarding: Do not defeat, bypass, or remove any safety shields or emergency stop (E-Stop) buttons.

  • Electrical Grounding: Ensure the machine is plugged into a properly grounded industrial outlet. Unauthorized modifications to the wiring or control box will void the warranty and create a lethal shock hazard.

4. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Operators must wear appropriate PPE at all times, including:

  • Safety Glasses: To protect against flying debris (especially when using routers).

  • Respirators: If ventilation is inadequate for the specific foam type being cut.

  • Heat-Resistant Gloves: When handling hot wires or recently cut materials.

5. Limitation of Liability

Foamlinx LLC shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage—direct, indirect, or consequential—arising out of the use or the inability to use the product. The user assumes all risk and liability whatsoever in connection with the operation of the machinery.

6. Warranty and Maintenance

While Foamlinx LLC offers "Lifetime Technical Support," this support does not cover damages caused by:

  • Improper assembly by the customer.

  • Use of incompatible software or third-party modifications.

  • Failure to perform routine maintenance (e.g., tensioning wires or lubricating rails).
