Q: What is the difference between the kit and the assembled machine ?
A: Both have the exact same components, same spec. The kit requires some
     soldering, but no drilling taping or sanding is required. The kit takes about 3
     to 5 hours to assemble, while the assembled machine takes about 30 min to
     put together. Some assembly is required for the assembled machine, this is
     to cut down the shipping costs

Q: What is manual heat control
A: Manual heat control is a way to change the hot wire temperature, The user
     has a knob which will make the temperature rise when turned CW.

Q: What is automatic heat control ?
A: Automatic heat control is a feature that lets the PC control the wire
    temperature during the cut. This feature is important when cutting a large job
    and the user wishes to leave the machine working over night and does not
    want the wire to be kept hot even when the cut is done.

Q: What software will run the machine?
A: There are two primary software applications that operate the machines:
 
   1. FoamWorks – Runs on Windows 98 XP, ME 2000, and costs $45

     2. The Gilles Muller software – Runs on Windows 98, ME and costs $32

     3. DeskCNC will run on any OS and is connected to the PC via a serial
         Cable. DeskCNC requires aditional hardware

Q: How do I set up Foamworks software?

Q: What additional equipment will I need to add ?
A:   You will need to supply the PC (Pent 2 and above)
       Table to place the machine on, and the foam.

Q: What kind of foam will the machine cut ?
A:  The machine will cut all foam types that can be cut using hot wire.
    The machine can also cut Coroplast.
*** Caution – Foam fumes are hazardous to your health – always work in
      a well ventilated area – Stay  away from all moving parts and the hot wire.

Q: What kind of warranty do you provide with the machine ?
A: FoamLinx provides a life time warranty on all moving parts and a one year
     warranty on  the electronics parts and motors.  

Q: How long till I get my order
A: We usually ship within 7 business days from the date receiving the payment

Q: What kind of support do you provide ?
A: FoamLinx provides 5 days a week, free email support. For in depth
     software support, you may need to contact the software vendor.
   There is also a very large foam cutters community news group on yahoo.

Q: Can the machine cut tapered cuts (where the right side of the machine is
     cutting a different shape or different size  then the left side) ?
A: Yes the machine has 4 independent axes, in other words, the machine can
     cut one shape on the right side and a different shape on the left side

Q: Who uses your machines ?
A: People who cut foam wings, architectural components, modeling props,
     modeling, molding and Signs

Q: Can the machine cut more then one shape at a time ?
A: Yes, but the user must provide a cut file which includes the needed shapes
